July 2nd, 2019: Harpenden Building Society has continued its sponsorship of the Herts Advertiser School Awards, ‘Pupil of the Year’ Category.
The Awards, now in their ninth year, celebrate all that is great within St Albans and Harpenden schools and how they are integral to community life. The awards recognise children’s achievements; the dedication, passion and inspiration displayed by teaching staff and schools who go above and beyond to make a difference.
An awards ceremony was held at the Welwyn Garden City campus of Oaklands College where guests were treated to a drinks reception and canapes before the awards presentation which acknowledged finalists in twelve categories.
Richard Steed, Marketing Manager at Harpenden Building Society said:
“We are delighted to have sponsored the ‘Pupil of the Year’ category and to be a member of the judging panel once again. The Awards are a fantastic initiative recognising and honouring the schools, staff and pupils in the local area.
It was great to meet the short listed finalists and the overall category winner Abigail Way – all of which are making such a positive contribution to school life.”
Harpenden Building Society looks forward to continuing its support for the 2020 awards.
